About the Opportunity
Provectus Physiotherapy & Health Services are currently seeking a Registered & Licensed Acupuncturist to join our growing mobile health services team, based in Vancouver, BC (remote).
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Patient Care & Treatment:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, lifestyle factors, and health concerns, to develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans
Perform safe and effective acupuncture treatments in patients' homes, addressing concerns such as chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, stress, insomnia, digestion issues, and mobility limitations
Apply Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) techniques, including cupping, gua sha, electroacupuncture, and herbal medicine recommendations, where appropriate
Provide education on acupuncture benefits, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to enhance treatment effectiveness
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and provide recommendations for follow-up sessions
2. Mobile Service & Travel:
Travel to patients’ homes across Greater Vancouver, ensuring timely arrival and professional service
Maintain a portable acupuncture kit with all necessary tools, ensuring safe and hygienic treatment environments in clients’ homes
Adapt to different home settings while maintaining a calm, professional, and patient-focused approach
3. Collaboration & Communication:
Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers (e.g., physiotherapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, general practitioners, and caregivers) to provide holistic and integrated patient care
Maintain clear communication with patients and caregivers to ensure expectations and treatment outcomes are understood
Keep accurate and confidential electronic patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress, and any concerns
4. Compliance & Professionalism:
Adhere to all BC acupuncture regulations and safety guidelines to ensure professional and ethical practice
Stay up-to-date with best practices, new techniques, and advancements in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
About You
To qualify, you are a Licensed & Registered Acupuncturist with The College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia (CCHPBC), and you have a valid BC driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (mandatory for home visits).
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience collaborating with multiple healthcare stakeholders to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for empowering elderly patients
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while being part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Comfortable carrying necessary acupuncturist equipment into patients’ homes
- Empathetic, patient, and skilled at working with complex cases
- Exceptional time-management skills

The Benefits
